DoFollow Love Movement

Our site is "NoFollow Free," and I'm guessing since you are reading this, you want to know what that is.

That's what this post is about and the first question should be...

What is "NoFollow"?

Well "NoFollow," is a tag which tells the search engines to ignore any links placed in comments or any active links on a user's website.

The tag was implemented to stop spammers from commenting on blogs for the single purpose of promoting their spam links to their spam websites!

What bloggers didn't realize or know was it also took away any "link juice," from the website their link was one.

This also took away some of the incentive for legitimate readers to contribute comments on your blog or website as the link would not be crawled by search engines instead it would be totally ignored.

Why would a blog owner use the "NoFollow Tag"?

Some reasons blog owners adopted the NoFollow tag was to deter spammers from submitting their spammy websites in their comment section of the blog. However, bloggers now know this method doesn't work as the spam related comments are still submitted by the hundreds in any given day or hour.

So bloggers knowing the method does not work still persist to use the NoFollow tag simply so they don't pass any link juice to the bloggers commenting on their blog keeping all the search engine glory to themselves and gaining content at the same time. That way they got ahead well you just spun your wheels getting no where.

What is "Do Follow"?

"DoFollow" is a "NoFollow Free" movement to remove the "NoFollow" tag and encourage blog commenting and active hyperlinks to be crawled and get the link juice deserved for great content or user contribution.
